Founded in 1924, the Comstock Township Fire Department covers nearly 36 square miles. Comprised of 45 members, including a full-time Fire Chief and Fire Inspector, the Department operates three fire stations that collectively house six fire engines, two grass trucks and a rescue boat.

Staffed around the clock every day of the week, the stations safeguard approximately 15,000 residents and also cover stretches of I-94, M-43 and M-96. Averaging close to 120 incidents per month – including fire, rescue and EMS responses – the Department strives to deliver on their motto, “Taking care of those who depend on us!” and to live up to their mission to provide advanced fire and rescue services, delivered by the highest level of trained firefighters.
